I'm amazed people haven't pointed out the solution to what you're experiencing yet, but it's honestly simple. My question is whether this is the best that can be achieved or am I missing something? Is there supposed to be color/sharpness/crispiness loss? Is there some setting I need to enable/tweak?Īdvanced recording mode (OR Simple Lossless avi 656 MB/s bitrate final video)ĬPU Usage: Very Fast (Super/ultra increase file size, faster/fast/medium increase file size and add stutter to final videos) If you look closely in the screenshots, there is a slight blurriness to text and minor color loss in other icons for the recording screenshot as well. Colorful UI (specially red colors) suffer a noticeably loss in sharpness or crispiness. This loss in detail is also present in moving sections of recordings of all sorts of games but most prominently affects UI. Irrespective of whether I use Simple Lossless (7GB per min) or Advanced CRF 15 I notice the same loss in detail. If you look closely at the circled mouse logo, you'll notice a considerable loss in quality in the lossless screenshot - trace lines are blurred, red exclamations coming out the mouse's head are missing. Screenshot of a lossless recording frame: Select the appropriate video source(s), and you’ll be set to start recording.Solved! Had to switch to I444 color format under OBS' Advanced Settings. This will give you several options, including Game Capture, Window, or Video Capture Device (for capturing webcam video). Find the Sources box at the bottom of the screen and click +. Next, you’ll need to add your video source(s). Then verify that it has the right audio device selected or change it if you’re using another device. You can do this by clicking Settings > Audio. Once you’ve run the auto-config tool, check that OBS is set up for your preferred audio device. This should include the settings for your recording, resolution, encoder, bitrate, and other settings. Run this tool to let OBS automatically check your system’s requirements and attempt to find the settings appropriate for your computer. If the Auto-Configuration Wizard tool doesn’t automatically pop up, you can find it in the Tools menu at the top of your screen. When you first open OBS Studio, you should be prompted to go through the auto-configuration process.
